Defender Dave Winfield was dismissed during the scuffle which saw every outfield Wycombe player involved, as well as Silkmen duo Ricky Sappleton and Emile Sinclair sent off.
The Chairboys have now been charged by the FA with a failure to ensure that they controlled their players and the npower League Two club intend to plead guilty.
However, the club have requested a personal hearing to plead their case.
A club statement said: "There will be no further comment from the club while this process is under way."
