Following the loss of on-loan winger Stephen Cooke and anticipated departures of Steve Guppy and Tony Craig, Austrian midfielder Andreas Lipa and versatile Watford player Jamie Collins were being considered as worthy replacements until the end of the season.

Lipa, 33, left League One side Port Vale, back in November. He has been looking for a new club since then, and featured in Wycombe’s friendly against Fulham reserves last week, impressing assistant manager Steve Brown with his performance.

"Lipa did well. He showed good composure and always looked calm on the ball," said Brown.

20-year-old Collins is a regular for Watford reserves, where he plays in the centre of midfield but can also fill in at left back.
