Martin signs new deal

The Wycombe side that ran out 2-1 winners on the afternoon was predominantly made up of players from Gary Smith’s youth team. Midfielder Russell Martin earned himself a contract extension until the end of the season after a good performance in front of head coach John Gorman.

Trialist David Perpetuini should have done enough to secure a deal at the club after another fine display.

After a long struggle with injury, Perpetuini was released by Gillingham three months ago and is available on a free transfer.

Craig Faulconbridge and Ian Stonebridge were paired up front. The latter scored the game’s winning goal, which should boost the confidence of the out of sorts forward. Faulconbridge played to improve his match fitness after recovering from a knee injury.
