Obersteller signs from Milwall

It has been confirmed today Wycombe Wanderers have made Jack Obersteller there 8th signing of the summer. Obersteller joins after spending 7 years at Milwall as a youth player. The young versatile defender mainly operates as a left back but can play further up field if required. This seems to be another "one for the future" signing Paul Lambert has made after also capturing young Derek Duncan from Leyton Orient. It seems Obersteller has been signed as a work in progress, and the fact he has only been offered a 12 month deal states it may be a risk that may pay off if he impresses for the reserve team. Obersteller joins a long list of left sided defenders and will probably join the back of the queue behind Craig Woodman, David McCracken, Leon Johnson, Russell Martin, Chris Palmer and Alan Massey. Lets hope this is the type of player that will be in the similar mould as ex Wanderers loanee from Milwall, Tony Craig. He proved to be a real hit in his time here and has gone on leaps and bounds, recently penning in a 2 year deal with rivals Crystal Palace. Do you have any views on Obersteller? Do you think he will make the grade, do you have any insider information on him? Let us know on the messageboard!
