Adams (almost) one year in

Adams boarded a sinking ship last year, and during the summer needed to pull a team of players together after several jumped, who were not willing to fight it out in the bottom league.

"Before I took charge here I spoke to players and managers about Wycombe, and the upshot was that the team had a reputation for being a soft-touch – one you could get stuck into easily in the first 15 minutes.

"What I’ve achieved so far has been making this side a bit more secure and hard to beat. If I'm labelled with that achievement alone when I'm done here - I'll be happy," he said.

Adams added, "I think I can do it at this level. By next year we should have a decent side."
