Adams apologises to Boston fans

Pilgrims fans waited outside the ground for Wanderers manager Tony Adams to emerge after the former Arsenal and England man had been involved in lengthy discussions with his players over what has gone wrong on the pitch lately.

Adams has made a point of apologising to some of the home supporters (perhaps an apology to the travelling Wycombe supporters might have been more apt). In his state of mind at the time Adams ignored the usual foray that congregates outside the ground after Wycombe’s away games, hoping they can steel a signature from him. On this occasion his swift exit from the ground has been recognised by the man himself.

While the club he is currently in charge of continue to make hard work of life in League Two, Adams, who last week suggested he wouldn't consider a lengthy spell as Wycombe manager, has apologised in order that he doesn't isolate himself from supporters up and down the land. (Presumably he has one eye on the England coaching job in the future.)

This evening he must prepare his side for the visit of Ernie Tippett's Rushden & Diamonds. Since losing the plot one month ago, Wycombe have slipped from top spot into eleventh, only scoring two goals, and collecting two points from five matches.
