Wycombe have midfielder Lewis Montrose back after a one-match ban but he could be on the bench as Stuart Lewis and Matt Bloomfield are expected to start.
New loan signing Scott Donnelly is not available until Monday.
Cheltenham manager Mark Yates told BBC Gloucestershire: "We're going to get better and better as the season goes on hopefully. We know we can compete, we know we can play and give anyone a game and we just need to find the formula to keep putting in the performances.
"Wycombe are a big, strong side with good players, a big squad and a good manager. It's going to be a hell of a game.
"They're above us in the league so they're doing something right, but we're not going to fear them."
