"We’ll need to start playing crap so we can start winning some," he said after today’s 1-0 reverse at Darlington.

"I’m obviously very disappointed because the players gave 100% out there again today and we’ve taken nothing back with us.

"We created chances before they got the penalty, and after we changed it around a bit at half time I thought we could probably have won the match 3-1.

But Wycombe failed to score, despite five strikers being tried at different stages of the game. Today’s result meant Darlington leaped ahead of Wycombe who drop to 16th in the table.
