Reilly intends returning to football at a later date, but has immediate plans to develop his academic studies.
Despite breaking into the Scotland Under-21 squad, he had been unable to demand a regular place in the first team at Wycombe, after making his first team debut last December.
After representing Buckinghamshire at county level, Reilly joined the club at the age of 13.
