Dixon will now remain at the Recreation Ground until February 19. After scoring the goal for Wycombe that eliminated Aldershot from the LDV Vans Trophy in the second round back September, he went on to join them in an initial one month deal in November.

"It's important Jonny is playing regular first team first team football and it will give him a chance to develop," said Gorman.

Dixon, 21 next month scored five goals in seven appearances during his first season at the Causeway. He enjoyed a brief but successful spell at Aldershot by scoring four goals in five appearances. Despite Aldershot missing their main strikers through injuries Dixon briefly returned to Wycombe and was an unused substitute in each of new Wycombe manager John Gorman's first two league games last week.
