Fans of teams from all over the country were in attendance at the Abbey Stadium in support of Cambridge Fans United, which has set out to raise £500,000 to keep the troubled club alive over the next six months.

Wycombe, who let supporters in for nothing at their home game the previous week, lost 2-1 on the day to the league’s basement side in front of 4649 attending fans.

Wycombe boss John Gorman said afterwards, "The crowd were up for them like they were for us last week and it made a difference."
