John Gorman’s side eventually combined the feat with some attractive football but it took an evening snow blizzard in Mansfield to get them going. "I thought we mastered the conditions superbly and played some very good football considering.

"It was another magnificent result for us. When we arrived at the ground I must admit I didn't want to play as I didn't think the snow would suit our passing game.
"But Carlton (Palmer) wanted it on as they (Mansfield) have been getting some great results and were full of confidence - but it has probably backfired on him," said Gorman.

Notts County manager Ian Richardon was among the crowd as the Chairboys turned around a deficit early on in the second half. The Magpies visit the Causeway this weekend, having already lost 1-0 to Wycombe earlier in the season. County’s game at Boston was postponed last night due to the weather.

"I think Wycombe are a lot better now than when we played them last.
"It is going to be a very difficult game for us.
"They looked dangerous at set pieces and it is going to be tough," said Richardson.
