No new striker deal

The youngster had a trial with the Chairboys and scored in a reserve team friendly a fortnight ago but following twelve goals in their last four first team games it seems Wycombe boss John Gorman is unlikely to offer Malcolm a contract this season.

Meanwhile, Steve Claridge has only featured as substitute in Wycombe’s last two games. The 38-year-old striker has been complaining about chest pains, but Gorman will be hoping the ex-England man can retain his fitness for the final weeks of the season.

Gorman has also told Craig Faulconbridge he will give all the time the striker needs to prove his fitness. The Faulcon has needed surgery on both knees in the past year and is currently undergoing physiotherapy at home.
