Silk back at Pompey

The 19-year-old defender, who has been on loan from Portsmouth this season, rejoined the south coast club this week.

Silk hasn’t had a look in ever since Danny Senda was switched to right back and Gus Uhlenbeek to the right of midfield.

Only one loan signing remains at the Bucks club now. Mike Williamson, who was also signed by Adams, has similarly fallen out of favour and is currently behind Roger Johnson in the pecking order following manager John Gorman’s arrival in December.

Meanwhile, Mark Philo recently described by assistant boss Steve Brown as a ‘big part of the club’s future’, is still waiting for his first opportunity under Gorman. The midfielder, a permanent signing made by Adams, had been out injured for most of the season. Philo’s contract expires in the summer and it remains uncertain whether or not fresh negotiations are in the pipeline.
