The Faulcon owes it to Gorman

A series of major injuries over the past 18 months has limited his appearances for the club, although the player did return to the side for a brief spell last season, at the time new manager John Gorman took temporary control of team affairs.

"When John came in last time he gave me such a boost. He took me to one side and encouraged me like he has done again now," he said.

Faulconbridge who was again missing because of injury at the start of the current campaign, was only drafted back into the squad by caretaker boss Keith Ryan three weeks ago. He played ninety minutes in the LDV Vans Trophy defeat at Bristol Rovers, before making his first league appearance of the season at Bury on Tuesday night.

"I feel in great spirits again and I'm desperate to make up for lost time. I believe that John Gorman is the right man to take us out of this division and I believe he is the right man for me," he added.

Meanwhile, Plymouth Argyle's Blair Sturrock could be on the verge of signing a one-month loan deal with Wycombe after training with the club this week. After struggling to get into Bobby Williamson's team, he then found himself left in the cold by Ian Atkins during a short loan spell at Bristol Rovers last month.

Midfielder Clint Easton has returned to training for the first time since recovering from a knee injury picked up back in October, but isn't expected to feature for the trip to Notts. County on Saturday.
