The striker had given Wycombe a three-goal cushion by half time, but the Chairboys still found themselves stretched to hold out and make it home and away wins against Keith Alexander’s side this season.

Wycombe started with Steve Claridge on the bench allowing Ian Stonebridge to partner Tyson in attack. The 3-2 win closed the gap with seventh placed Lincoln to two points.

"Wycombe got the ball down and got it into the space behind us and that’s something we used to get criticised for but Tyson is very quick and we gave him a couple of chances we shouldn’t have done. I was reasonably pleased with the second half.

"I felt we had the majority of the ball all through the game but we gave them three unbelievably poor goals," said Alexander.
