A pitch inspection this morning concluded the playing surface was saved from a potentially harrowing morning frost by last night’s snowfall and the game will go ahead as scheduled.

Tyson won’t be risked particularly in the cold conditions - Wycombe’s top scorer this season sustained the injury in the home win against Scunthorpe seven days ago.

Stonebridge was rewarded with a place in the starting line-up at the weekend after impressing in the reserves. Despite only two first team goals all season the 23-year-old is enjoying himself at the moment.

"Hopefully I can get a few chances tonight and grab a goal," said Stonebridge.

Tyson’s injury has also given Stonebridge the opportunity to form a partnership with experienced goalscorer Steve Claridge.

"It’s great, Steve knows so much about the game. I don’t need to mention his age because his fitness is there for people to see.

"He never stops running and holds the ball up for us and it’s useful because in this division you need experienced players," added Stonebridge.
