Waddock wants no let-up

The Chairboys beat Crewe 2-0 to move back up to third with two games remaining. Two goals from Scott Rendell, one from the penalty spot, moved his side one point above nearest rivals Shrewsbury.

Waddock said: "When the players needed to perform they certainly did and I actually said that after the game we needed the win, it was as simple as that.

"They stood up and they were counted for sure and I thought it was an excellent performance. We want to entertain and the fans got value for money during the first half, it was an exciting end to it and the goals were good."

Waddock added: "We've got two very important games to come, this was a big cup final for us against Crewe.

"We've got another two coming up and at the end of that game, the Southend game, we'll know where we are and that's when it counts."
