Winfield back for Bantams test

Centre-half Winfield has missed the last two games through suspension after picking up 10 yellow cards but is back in contention to face the Bantams while fellow defender Alan Bennett is back from a calf strain.

Left-back Andy Sandell has been ruled out for up to six weeks with a medial knee ligament injury.

The 27-year-old recently underwent a scan on the injury he picked up in the 1-0 win over Rotherham on January 22 which has revealed the full extent of the problem.

Striker Scott Rendell returned last week after almost a month out with an ankle injury and fellow forward Jon-Paul Pittman is back in the fold after a lengthy spell out with a knee injury.

Wanderers have only been beaten twice in the last 11 games, winning eight on their way to second place.
