Wycombe V Burton Albion at Adams Park - Match Preview

Foster a major doubt for Chairboys

Wycombe defender Danny Foster is a major doubt for their clash with Burton at Adams Park with a knee injury.

The 28-year-old came off with 10 minutes to go of their shock 3-2 victory at Rotherham on Tuesday and may well miss out for the visit of Gary Rowett's men.

Another one of Tuesday's starting line-up will definitely miss out as young defender Charles Dunne is suspended after picking up his fifth yellow card but manager Gareth Ainsworth is hopeful that QPR loanee Bruno Andrade will have recovered from his injury in time.

New loan striker Ade Azeez, signed from Charlton on Thursday, is set to be involved having joined the Chairboys until January 1.

The 18-year-old is yet to make his senior debut for Chris Powell's men but has three England Under-19 caps and was the top scorer last season for Charlton Under-18s.

Wycombe's victory at Rotherham lifted them one place above rock-bottom Barnet having played a game less.

Burton boss Gary Rowett is likely to utilise his squad.

Albion played three games in six days, culminating in Tuesday night's 1-0 home defeat to Aldershot, with largely the same nucleus of players and looked sluggish in midweek.

Defender Marcus Holness, midfielders Jack Dyer, John McGrath and Cleveland Taylor and strikers Justin Richards and Jacob Blyth are all options for Rowett.

Blyth made a promising first appearance from the bench against the Shots following his arrival on loan from Leicester and the 20-year-old could come into the frame for a start.

"I would have liked to put Jacob on earlier but he'd played 90 minutes for Leicester's development squad on Monday and I didn't think it was appropriate for him," said Rowett. "I think he will be a useful option for us."

Burton have also extended Jordan Chappel's loan and the Sheffield United winger could also come back into the reckoning after missing the last five games because of an ankle injury.
