Wycombe V Crewe at Adams Park - Match Preview

Duo back for Chairboys

Wycombe will be boosted by the return of two players as they look to beat Crewe.

Billy Knott (foot) and Nick Arnold (groin) are back in the fold and will hope to feature against the Railwaymen in their FA Cup first-round tie on Saturday.

Their returns come at the perfect time for manager Gareth Ainsworth who is without the suspended duo Matt Bloomfield and Josh Scowen for the Adams Park clash.

Scowen picked up his fifth yellow card of the campaign in the 1-1 draw at Accrington last weekend while Bloomfield is still banned after his straight red against Bury.

Crewe have been given permission to field Manchester City loanee George Evans.

The Alex handed the teenage midfielder, who has joined on a three-month deal, his debut against Bradford last Saturday and boss Steve Davis must decide whether to use him again in the cup.

Defender Matt Tootle (foot) is still considered doubtful despite returning to training and midfielder Ryan Colclough (hip) only has an outside chance after stepping up his comeback this week.

Goalkeeper Steve Phillips was rested last week, with his wife due to give birth, and could come back into the fold but midfielder Ollie Turton and striker Mathias Pogba, who is running again following a pre-season operation, will both remain on the sidelines due to knee injuries.
