10-man Bury took manager Graham Barrow on a roller-coaster ride at home to Wycombe.

Although the Shakers showed real character under pressure following the surprise second-half dismissal of defender Colin Woodthorpe, it wasn't enough to claim more than a share of the spoils.

Barrow's team started brightly and thanks to top scorer David Nugent took a seventh minute lead.

Chris Porter laid the ball off for Nuggent after a cross from skipper Dave Challinor and the striker made no mistake for his 10th goal of the season.

But despite a string of good chances Bury allowed Wycombe to hit back on the hour mark with their first shot on target.

Nathan Tyson unleashed a left-footed shot on the turn that beat the diving Bury keeper Andy Marriott.

Nugent latched on to a Tom Kennedy pass in the 65th minute, and avoiding the close attentions of defender Mike Williamson, ran all the way to goal to slot past Wycombe keeper Frank Talia to take the advantage once more.

However, after Woodthorpe received his marching orders for a second bookable offence following a clash with Gus Uhlenbeek, Wycombe equalised for a second time.

Tyson was again on the scoresheet. The centre forward this time tapped in after Roger Johnson's header had been brilliantly saved by Shakers keeper Marriott.
