Wycombe recorded their first league win since October 21 with a 2-0 victory over a below par Bournemouth.

There had been few chances in the first half; Bournemouth played a lot of good football without much end product.

Jermaine McSporran provided the main threat to the Bournemouth goal, shooting just wide on a couple of occasions.

The first half ended on a high note for bottom-of-the-table Bucks side. Having conceded three goals in injury time in the last four home games, it was in first half added on time that Wycombe took the lead. On-loan Villa striker Luke Moore was upended by Karl Broadhurst who was booked for his troubles.

Darren Currie swung in the free kick and Wycombe's other Premiership teenage loanee, Newcastle defender Steven Taylor did brilliantly to pull the ball back and the shot was driven in from inside the six-yard box by Keith Ryan.

The second half started brightly for both sides, Warren Feeney heading over from inside the Wycombe six-yard box.

Then on 50 minutes Chairboys striker Craig Faulconbridge volleyed just wide. Teenage keeper Steve Williams kept his side in front with a brilliant diving save on 55 minutes, pushing Brian Stock's pile driver over the bar.

Despite intense pressure from the visitors, the home side increased their lead on 75 minutes.

Currie swung in a corner and Moore headed the ball into the far corner, and was immediately engulfed by his delighted team-mates.
