Wycombe continued their push for a place in the end of season promotion play-offs with an easy 3-0 home victory against relegation-threatened Kidderminster Harriers.

The win was secured thanks to a second hat-trick of the season from Wycombe hitman Nathan Tyson.

His first goal arrived on 25 minutes after a pass from left -back Joe Burnell following a period of uncertainty for the home side as the visitors had started well.

Dean Keates floated a free-kick just wide for the Harriers on 12 minutes but after conceding the first goal Harriers fell apart.

Wycombe doubled their advantage on 37 minutes, Tyson robbing Johnny Mullins in the penalty area and finishing clinically from 10 yards.

Veteran striker Steve Claridge missed a glorious opportunity just three minutes later somehow managing to miss from three yards with the goal gaping.

One further chance was missed by the home side before half time. Captain Roger Johnson headed wide from a corner.

Tyson missed the chance to complete his hat-trick on the hour when he managed to hit the bar when it seemed easier to score. However, just seven minutes later he punished poor defending from Kidderminster, turning in a cross from Claridge.

On 70 minutes Claridge had a perfectly good looking goal disallowed as the hosts threatened to completely over-run the beleaguered visitors.

There was even time for Tyson to waste another chance with six minutes remaining as the game finished comfortably for the Chairboys.

Kidderminster boss Stuart Watkiss will be disappointed with the application shown by his side as they bid to avoid the dreaded drop back into the Conference.
